Some time ago I mentioned that I was going to do a review of 3 Days to Kill but to be brutally honest I can’t be bothered. It takes far too much concentration to turn my notes into a coherent post and well that’s it really.
What I will say though is this, don’t bother going to see this film.
Well maybe, if your a big Costner fan or love the cinema or don’t really have anything better to do. It’s not a bad film, it’s just not very good. No need to waste your precocious hours on it.
The tone is all over the place; It’s an action move, no It’s a comedy, nope now It’s a “heartwarming” tale of father and daughter. There is nothing wrong with switching between the genres, just make sure that you are mastering at least one of them…
The fact that Luc Besson helped write it filled me with excitement but like so many things in my life I was left with a hollow feeling inside. Don’t make the same mistake I made, this is not Leon, this is not the triumphant return of Kevin that I was hoping for.
On the plus side at least it is not The Postman.
The film, not the dude that delivers letters.
